Courses
Day Classes: Monday-Friday (Ages 8+)
Students will learn music theory and sight singing in classes divided by age and level. They will also participate sectionals and group singing. Students younger than 8 may attend free if accompanied by a paying adult.
Afternoon Electives: Monday-Thursday (Ages 12+)
Students signing up for elective classes have access to all elective classes being offered, provided the class has room. Electives are intended to be an add-on to our regular classes. We strongly recommend that students attend day and/or evening classes along with electives for maximum benefit.
Evening Classes; Sunday-Thursday (Ages 12+)
Students will learn music theory and sight singing in classes divided by level. They will also participate sectionals and group singing. Students younger than 12 may attend free if accompanied by a paying adult.

Sunday Evening
Classes on Sunday, June 22nd from 6:00-8:00pm will be for both day students and evening students, as well as being open to anyone else who wants to try it out. Classes will include music theory instruction, sight singing practice, and group singing. This will be a great opportunity for those who are on the fence about registering!
Closing Singing
We plan to hold a closing singing on Friday, June 27th at 6:30pm featuring a choir of both day and evening students. Anyone is welcome to attend!
Sample Day Schedule
Check-in (8:45am)
Students will receive a lanyard and a song book on the first day of class.
Devotional and Prayer (9:00am)
A short devotional will be shared, and any announcements or instructions for the day will be given.
Theory Class (9:15am)
We will learn music theory, work on ear training, and learn the basics of directing. Our focus will be on improving practical music knowledge and skill. Classes will be divided by age and level.
Sight Singing (10:15am)
We will practice accurately singing a song from the music. Class will be divided by age. Younger children will go outside for a half-hour break at 10:45am
Lunch (11:15am)
Lunch may be purchased or packed. When finished eating, students will be free to fellowship or play for the remainder of lunch time.
Sectionals (12:15pm)
We will divide into voice part sections to practice individual harmony parts.
Group Singing (1:00pm)
We will learn and practice songs as one big group. We plan to sing both hymns and Gospel songs.
Check-out (2:00pm)
Security measures will be in place to help ensure that every student is accounted for, and that children are picked up only by authorized individuals.
Sample Electives Schedule
Group Vocal Technique (2:15-3:00pm)
Students will learn about vocal health and technique.
Songwriting and Directing (3:15-4:15pm)
Students may choose to take songwriting or directing.
In songwriting, students will learn how to write hymns and Gospel songs. Lyric-writing, melody-writing, and part-writing will be taught. Instructor: Sam Wright
In directing, students will learn the basics of conducting/song leading.
History of Hymns and Gospel Music (4:30-5:15pm)
Students will learn the history of hymns, shaped note notation, singing schools, and singing conventions.
Dinner (5:15)
Students are responsible to pack their own dinner.
